Mythical Dog / Gargoyle

Description
Solid stone carving of a mythical dog like creature / gargoyle. This is amazing. Recently acquired from a retired dealer who has had it sat in their garden for the last 25+ years, he got if from a retired demolition guy who had held onto it for at least that length of time again and told him it had come from a very large country estate demolished back in the 1950’s somewhere in Northumberland. The way its carved suggests that it was originally on a building but as to its actual age we can’t be certain but we would suggest that it is at least a couple of hundred years old. Does have some signs of minor damage as to be expected with its past life but still an outstanding and unique piece. Further photos and details on request.
