Description
Very unusual date stone / foundation block from the building of Lilywhite Ltd which was originally founded and based in Sowerby Bridge. They produced picture postcards. This stone refers to the founder and dates and additions to the building in 1930 which we assume this is the date this was carved. The building was then destroyed by fire in 1931 so this is a surviving piece of history.
