Cast Iron Horse Heads - Bonny Bright Eyes

Description
The Bonny Bright Eyes were cast iron horse heads made by the foundry B Hirst & Sons of Halifax, West Yorkshire who became renowned manufacturers of playground equipment during the 1940’s & 50’s.
These cast heads were originally found on the front of the large 5 or 6 seater rocking horses in playgrounds around the country.
To find one is getting quite rare these days and they make great decorative features. Like I say one is rare but here is a pair. Ideal for an entrance way to an equestrian household.
