Very early C19th or possibly late C18th gritstone trough reclaimed from the grounds of an old farm cottage in the North Yorkshire / Teeside area. Great gnarly shape and fantastic mossed patina. Likely used as a filter trough where it will have been filled with gravel, water will have run in, through the trough, cleaned by the stone and overflowed the other side probably into another trough.
