Exceptionally well carved stone lion head. This is Victorian and dates to around 1885. Reclaimed from a building in Bradford, believed to be a pub / hotel following its demolition back in the 70’s. It’s likely to have been the keystone of an archway above the main entrance. Has been in a private collection and kept indoors hence its amazing condition.
It stands at 16” high and 10” x 9” at its widest and deepest points.
Extremely detailed carving typical of the Victorian era.
